Children’s Hospital New Orleans is celebrating a new name and chapter as we proudly become Manning Family Children’s. With an unwavering commitment to child health, Children’s has proudly served as the Gulf South’s only, freestanding, comprehensive children’s hospital for 70 years – transforming and saving countless lives since we first opened our doors in 1955.
Our transformational new partnership with the Manning family – Olivia, Archie, Cooper, Peyton and Eli - will have a lasting impact on children and families not just in Louisiana, but far beyond, marking a pivotal new chapter in our 70-year legacy. With a long-term, transformational commitment, the Manning family will help amplify our vision to make Louisiana a national leader in child health.
Throughout our history, we have been proud stewards of compassionate care for all children, delivering the highest level of pediatric care right here at home. What sets Children’s apart is our unwavering commitment to run toward the problems that impact our kids - not only within the four walls of our hospital and clinics, but also through our longstanding community programs designed to serve our most vulnerable kids and families.
Just last year, we cared proudly cared for 585,000 children – the most ever in our history – and regardless of a family’s ability to pay. We have laid the foundation for a healthier future for kids, with nationally leading programs including our Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, Neonatology, Pulmonology, and Rehabilitation programs, Behavioral Health, Trauma and Grief, Gun Safety, ThriveKids, and more than 40 other pediatric specialties.
And while we have accomplished so much together with the support of our community, we still have work to do and progress to make to move the needle on child health outcomes in our region. In 2025, in partnership with the Manning family – we are taking a significant leap forward, and our vision is bold. Together, we will move Louisiana from last in pediatric health outcomes to being a national leader in child health and wellbeing.
