Immunization Program

Manning Family Children's Immunization Program

The Greater New Orleans Immunization Network (GNOIN) at Manning Family Children’s in New Orleans was created in April 1998 when Christian Health Ministries partnered with several hospitals to implement an immunization program for children of Metropolitan New Orleans. The primary objective of the GNOIN is to protect all children from vaccine preventable diseases. We provide convenient access to immunization services through our Care Mobile (Shot Bus) and School Kids Immunization Program. Free vaccines are available for eligible children through the age of 18. Children are enrolled in the Louisiana Immunization registry (LINKS) to facilitate data sharing with their providers.

Why vaccines are important

  • Vaccines have saved more lives throughout the world than any other medical invention.
  • Vaccines are our best defense against some common and sometimes deadly diseases.
  • Vaccines help teach the body's immune system how to fight germs.
  • Vaccines are safe, highly effective, and easy to help keep families healthy.
